Statement by Richard Stallman
I was thinking that it would be useful for someone to present to the
technical community the following two challenges:
-
To develop, mass-produce and sell a very cheap RFID detector and
locator. It need not be able to read any data of the RFID, though
that would be a nice additional feature. The central feature is
that you can precisely locate the RFIDs, if any, in something you
just bought or anything in your possession.
-
To develop, mass-produce and sell a very cheap RFID destroyer,
something that you can put near an RFID or aim at an RFID and make
sure it will no longer respond at all.
